Eventup is a venue search tool intended for event organizers and others involved with large social gatherings. The application lists available venues for Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. Each is presented with images, a description, Google Map of the area, rates and availability and any applicable insurance and other fee requirements. The user can also review basic details, such as the type of venue, maximum occupancy, amenities, location and the types of events that can be hosted at the venue. Users can browse highlighted venues on the homepage or search for venues by location. Three links are also available to show users venues in all three cities the website covers. Each venue page has a built in quote request tool that lets the user enter the desired event date and time of day to receive a quote for rental.

This takes the user to the login area and registration form. The form on the right asks for an email address and password. The user can click the blue “Sign Up with Facebook” button above the form if they prefer to register with their social networking account instead. The user is automatically logged in after registering.

Anyone can join the Eventup community for free. There is no fee for creating an account. Users can browse as much as they like with or without an account. Users can book venues for free. Users can also list their venue as available at no cost. The site charges a 10% booking fee each time the venue is successfully booked. The fee is determined by the total venue rental cost.
